February New Articles
WOTM…

Hi Y’all,

Ask Linda what a great time her and Gainey had at the N.Y. Eve party and was pretty smart calling AAA.

Thank you for a great fellowship Sun. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and hope to have many more.

Ladies we have 152 members. Where are you? We have elections coming up in April. We need all offices filled. Our board of women officers work close with our men to keep our lodge running smooth and give you and your family a pleasant and enjoyable place to come and enjoy good friends. We would hate to see our club loose our charter. If we don’t have more participation and have a women’s board of officers there will not be anymore Chapter 2127 Ladies of the Moose.

We are working on a new dress code for the lodge so watch for it and keep in mind we are a family originate lodge.

Thank you and hope this will be a better year than last.

Your Moose Ladies

Bartenders…

I would like to point out about our excessive smoking in the lodge. Some of us (me too) need to cut down some. All the smoke is turning our new place brown and smelly. We do not want to make it non-smoking…so let’s slow down some.

Thanks,
Beverly

Governor…

Hello Brothers & Sisters,

Well thank the Lord that real cold weather is out of here. I know we will have some more before it’s all over, but lets pray for not as long!

Has everyone noticed all the little things being done around the Lodge? The painting of the men’s bathroom door (women’s next), the new light covers in the lodge, the painting of the exit doors, well we can thank our northern friend Stan Stump and everyone who helped hang the new covers! I personally want to thank each and every one of you.

Thanks to Wendell our turnouts for horseshoes is doing great. Thank you Wendell & all the players.

Our Tuesday night Free Pool from 6-9pm still hasn’t caught on yet but I believe it will.

Well everybody I guess that’s about all for now, again thanks to all our Brothers & Sisters for coming out & supporting our Lodge!

Your friend and Governor,
Gainey Stone

PS I am truly sorry for not having an open Lodge Meeting in January, I will try to get enough officers to have one in February.

Women of the Moose…

Thank you to all who came and had Beans & Cornbread with us. We appreciated those who donated the delicious foods.

We would like to start every Wednesday night dinners again. Please volunteer or give suggestions & ideas of what you would enjoy eating. Please see Vici Webber, Sharon Depew, or Claire Reddington.

Please remember Super Bowl Sunday is Feb 7th and the lodge will set up the big screen. We would remind everyone to bring a dish to share.

We have started a New Year and hope to be prosperous if not at least there for each other. Remember in you hearts to pray for those who are ill or just need to have a better day. In closing, remember Faith, Hope and Charity should guide you in your daily thoughts.

Notice…

Saturday March 6th 2010 we would like to have a Casino Night. Who doesn’t like a little gambling? We will have Moose Races, Black Jack and other games. The fun should start at 6:00 pm and food will be available from the kitchen. Hope to see you all there.

We do apologize for not mentioning the horseshoe team who also gave to the Pollock Fund Raiser.

We will do another fellowship social in March. Those who attended agreed they enjoyed it and look forward to the next one!!

The Cleaning Lady…

Stan…you have been so busy!!! It is sometimes the little things that make a difference and you seem to have a knack for picking the things that are so noticeable (at least to some people). Thanks for redoing our back entrance steps to make them safer (along with all the other projects you have done). I promised to list the people who paid for the new light panels that look so nice. Many thanks to our snowbirds…

Stan Stump Val & Monique Marcoux Larry Dean
Bob & Paula Depew Bob & Judy Bird Tommy Bridges
Bob & Mary Isham Mike Steinbach Wendell & Delores Hatfield

If I left your name out…see Stan J

If all our members asked “What can I do?” instead of complaining about the way things are…think what a nice place this would be!!

As always, please don’t start any projects (that cost money) without checking with the board of officers to make sure it is OK.

Since February is a short month…please turn in or email your bulletin articles on or before Friday February 19th. You can give them to the bartender and ask them to put them in my bag for the office. Thank you all for keeping the bulletin going.

Remember…your Moose Lodge is a WiFi Hot Spot…no password necessary.

Jean

Help Mooseheart School win $500,000!!!
A Few Mouse Clicks Mean $500,000 to Mooseheart School ... or Not.

If, by just clicking a computer mouse a few times over five to ten minutes, you could send a HALF-MILLION DOLLARS to help Mooseheart's kids, you'd do it -- wouldn't you?

We sure hope so.

Thanks to Kohl's department stores, that's the opportunity we Moose members have!

Between now and Friday evening, September 3, by just "voting" for Mooseheart School as your "favorite school" on the "Kohl's Cares" page on Facebook, we Moose members can get that $500,000 from Kohl's Cares Foundation for Mooseheart School!

That's $500,000 we then WON'T need to ask from the men and women of the Moose to help operate Mooseheart's school this year!

If you have a Facebook account (easy to set up), if you're 13 or older, and you're a U.S. resident -- just go to http://apps.facebook.com/KohlsCares, follow the directions to vote the maximum allowed FIVE (5) times for Mooseheart School -- and that's all there is to it!

Please ask your spouse, your family and all your friends to do the same!

If Mooseheart School finishes among the top 20 schools in nationwide voting, we'll receive a Kohl's Cares check, payable to Mooseheart School, in the amount of $500,000!

It costs you $0 -- just a few minutes of your time! What an easy way to fulfill our membership obligation to "support Mooseheart with my energy and substance"!

PLEASE don't let this opportunity pass us by! Your Mooseheart students need you to vote, NOW!

Warm fraternal regards,
William B. Airey (Director General) and Scott Hart (Executive Director)
